Computerized system for penetrant testing sensitivity evaluation and products families quality
The system is designed for automated objective quantitative estimation
of penetrant testing sensitivity, periodic quality control of penetrant products, certification of new materials. The
estimation of sensitivity and quality is carried out by automatic registration and localization of defects indications
revealed on a test samples, with the subsequent measurement of geometrical and optical characteristics.
The system consists of the following basic components: video camera (4);
zoom lens (3); optical filters (5); sources of illumination of a test surface (2); test sample (1); illuminance measuring
instruments (7), (8); personal computer (6); the software.
The computerized system allows to register and recognize indications
revealed on a test samples, and give out results of estimation no more than in 5 minutes. The size of defects indications
registered by system is not less than 0,3 mm. Results of an estimation can be represented in the numerical and graphic form.
